If you answered "YES!" to these questions, the Prep Intensive may be right for you.

Subjects include: Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies areas needed to pass the GED test and/or raise their Accuplacer scores. Students will also attend Success Lab to strengthen skills needed for their next steps.  Students will  have access to online learning and will be encouraged to put in as much time on that as they are able.

 

Students will be surrounded with support. The intensive is taught by a licensed teacher. Mandatory monthly meetings with the program navigator make sure goals are continually being set and met.

Online Learning

Study for your GED or Accuplacer test any time of the day on your own schedule with our online learning option.

Let us help you reach your goals by providing

  • option resources in college and career planning and skills

Distance Learning is not for everyone.  Please keep in mind:

-Students will need a computer with internet or the ability to regularly study at the library. 

-Students are expected to spend a minimum number of hours on classwork per week. 

         The minimum will be decided during orientation.

-Students need to be disciplined in order to keep up with their minimum hours and able to study on their own.

Need a computer or affordable internet to do online work?

 

PCs for People has affordable computers for sale and WIFI. Must qualify.

Spectrum Internet Assist offers monthly internet for $14.99/month to qualifying costumers. Call 844-525-1574

The Austin Public Library has a computer lab and has Hot Spots and Laptops to check out.

Austin Adult Learning has Open Lab hours where students can come and study on a laptop.
